Meditation
There is abundant information which supports the benefits of meditation. It very nearly duplicates the benefits of good diet and exercise. Do you want to reduce stress and promote feelings of calm? Meditate. Lower your blood pressure and potentially reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke? Meditate. Improve creativity, attention and focus? Boost your immunity? Improve sleep quality? Improve your emotional health and sense of well being? Meditate, meditate, meditate.
It is widely touted that as little as 5 minutes a day devoted to prayerful meditation, guided meditation, controlled breathing exercises — whether it's "Om" or "Amen," whatever type of meditation technique you choose to employ — you will be rewarded with great benefits.
"I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go," quipped Abraham Lincoln. Mark Twain once said, "A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs a step at a time." With these thoughts in mind, we provide a choice of links for your use to help you get into the habit of daily meditation.
