Diet & Exercise

For lack of beating a 'dead horse,' diet is a tremendous part of maintaining our best health. We are huge proponents of the Mediterranean diet. It is recorded, Adam lived for 930 years. Since we can't live in the Garden of Eden, we make due with lots of fish and poultry, fruits, vegetables, nuts, olive oil, wine and water.

Bright colors are the key words to keep in mind with this diet plan. There are so many benefits that it's difficult to list them all. Here are some of the most critical ones: improve heart health; balance gut health; manage BMI; improve cognitive health; lower risk of strokes, diabetes, Alzheimer's and cancers; lower blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol; promote healthy aging; and, reduce inflammation.

Don't forget to include seasoning ingredients to keep food choices interesting, as suggested by the groupings below  all of which support healthy functions of the heart, circulation, digestion, immunity support, etc. While we are cautious salt users, as hypertension is so prevalent, you might like to try our "Spice of Life" blend.

Added to diet, exercise is key to a healthy lifestyle. It really doesn't matter what type you choose to do as long as you are consistent. This same philosophy holds true of getting a good night's sleep and drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Food for thought: we don't want to forget to exercise our brain. Maintaining cognitive health is incredibly important piece of the health puzzle.

Keeping all systems "go" is what we should all strive to achieve and maintain.  However, as this site is not intended to focus on nutrition, we'll just leave it at that.
